The sludge filter press is used in various industries for mud dewatering, wastewater filtration, and other processes to solve environmental problems. If the filter press fails and cannot be resolved in a timely manner, it will cause serious impacts such as project suspension and inspection. Chiyuan provides an analysis of common faults and solutions for sludge filter presses:
The frame itself is damaged:
Cause of malfunction:
1. When the sludge is too thick or dry blocks are left behind, it will cause blockage of the feeding port. At this time, there is no medium between the filter plates, only the pressure of the hydraulic system itself is left. At this time, the plate itself is easily damaged due to long-term compression.
2. When the supply is insufficient or contains unsuitable solid particles, it can also cause excessive force on the frame itself, leading to damage.
3. If the outlet is blocked by solid or if the supply or outlet valve is closed during startup, there is no place for pressure to leak out, resulting in damage.
4. When the filter plate is not cleaned thoroughly, sometimes it can cause the medium to leak out. Once it leaks out, small grooves will be washed out at the edges of the plate frame. The large amount of leakage of the medium causes the pressure to not increase and the mud cake cannot form.
Solution:
1. Use a nylon cleaning scraper to remove mud from the feed port
2. Complete this cycle and reduce the volume of the filter plate
3. Check the filter cloth, clean the drainage outlet, check the outlet, open the corresponding valve, and release the pressure
4. Carefully clean the filter plate and repair it
Leakage between panels and frames:
Cause of malfunction:
1. Hydraulic low
2. Filter cloth wrinkles and holes on the filter cloth
3. There are blocky substances on the sealing surface.
Solution: Increase the hydraulic pressure accordingly, replace the filter cloth, or use a nylon scraper to remove blocky substances on the sealing surface.
Unformed or uneven filter cake:
Cause of malfunction: Insufficient or too thin feed, or blockage can cause this phenomenon.
Solution: Increase feed, adjust process, improve feed, clean or replace filter cloth, clean blockages, clean feed holes, clean drainage holes, clean or replace filter cloth, increase pressure or pump power, start at low pressure, and continuously increase pressure.
The filter plate moves slowly or easily falls off
Cause of malfunction: Excessive oil and dirt stains on the guide rod can also cause the filter plate to move slowly, and even deviate and fall off.
Solution: Clean the guide rod in a timely manner and apply butter to ensure its lubrication. One thing to note is that it is strictly prohibited to apply thin oil on the guide rod, as thin oil can easily fall off and make the bottom very slippery. Personnel operating and repairing here are prone to falling, causing personal injury accidents.
Hydraulic system malfunction
Cause of malfunction: The hydraulic system of the sludge filter press mainly provides pressure. When the oil chamber A is filled with more oil, the piston moves to the left, compressing the filter plate to seal it. When the amount of oil injected into chamber B increases, the piston moves to the right and the filter plate releases.
Solution: There are fewer hydraulic system malfunctions, just pay attention to daily maintenance. Oil leakage occurs every year or so, and it is necessary to repair and replace the O-ring seal.
